Notes

-Alex Castellanos homered and tripled in the second straight day. He added a double, accomplishing the rare feat of coming a single shy of the cycle. Scott Van Slyke hit his 6th double and raised his average up to .412. Josh Wall hasn't allowed a hit in his last 5 appearances.

-Aaron Miller couldn't follow up his 5 inning, 1 hit performance with something close, as he struggled throwing strikes and ended up taking the loss. Red Patterson pitched well in relief, actually raising his ERA to 1.74 even though he allowed just 1 run in 4 innings. Matt Wallach had two hits, while Blake Smith and Rafael Ynoa each doubled.

-Garrett Gould racked up the strikeouts, but also saw his pitch count reach 95 before completing 5 innings. The offense couldn't get going, leaving 8 on base and going hitless in 5 at bats with RISP. Joc Pederson collected his first two hits of the season, including a triple, while Jon Garcia singled twice.

-The Loons' pitching staff shut down Bowling Green on their way to constructing a 5 hit shutout. Brandon Martinez picked up his first win of the season, while Juan Noriega maintained his 0 ERA and Eric Eadington struck out the side. Scott Schebler doubled for the 7th time this season, scoring the team's only run.
