-John Ely gets the win, his first of the year, with 7 quality innings. Josh Fields hit his 3rd homer, with Josh Bard adding a single and a double. Josh Wall recorded his 4th save and has now pitched 6 consecutive hitless innings.

-Nathan Eovaldi started for the Lookouts but was removed after the first inning. Roster move coming? Blake Smith had his best night of the young season, homering and singling twice while driving in 4 runs. Pedro Baez walked twice, giving him 7 on the season. Consider that he had only 9 last year in 32 games. J.T. Wise also had 3 hits, including a double and is now batting .341. Jon Michael Redding earned the win with 4 innings of one run ball. Blake Johnson got the save the hard way, also pitching 4 innings of one run ball.

-Rancho returned home with a decisive victory, shutting down Visalia for most of the game. Andres Santiago lowered his ERA to 0.71, with the bullpen only surrendering an unearned run. Scott Wingo made his 2012 debut, reaching base three times and swiping three bases. Jon Garcia was the only starter to fail to reach base safely.

-The Loons exploded for 11 runs, a total they'll have difficulty replicating this season. 5 batters had multi-hit games, with Pratt Maynard collecting 3 hits, including 2 doubles. Scott Schebler had 2 hits and, while he committed an error, he also threw out 2 runners on the basepaths. Schebs has yet to draw a walk in 14 games so far in 2012. Ryan O'Sullivan was solid in 3 innings for the win, with Yimi Garcia closing the game out by striking out the side. He now has 8 K's in 5 innings.

Just a reminder that I'll be attending tomorrow night's Rancho Cucamonga Quakes' game with Dustin Nosler from Angel Sanchez, who I ranked as the Dodgers' #4 prospect heading into the season, is scheduled to pitch. Follow me on Twitter @LADugout for in game updates and notes. Recommended Stories
