-The Topes blew two early leads on the way to their second straight. A start by committee didn't quite work, with Fernando Nieve and Brent Leach allowing 6 runs in 5 innings. Ryan Tucker made an appearance, working a scoreless inning. Josh Wall worked another hitless frame. Jerry Sands hit his 3rd homer, though he's still batting just .171 in his last 10 games. SVS collected his 8th double.

-One of the best pitching matchups of the young season didn't quite live up to its billing. Trevor Bauer was struck first, as the Lookouts scored twice against him in the 2nd when Pedro Baez and Griff Erickson drove in runs with 2 outs. Webby fell apart in the 4th, beginning with a hit batter to start the inning, followed by a single and a homer. Two more runs would come in on a Rafael Ynoa throwing error. Another three hits in the 5th plated 3 more runs. Nick Buss homered, while Travis Denker doubled.

-Zach Lee, the Dodgers' #1 prospect, had his worst outing of the season, which took place in one of the best hitter's parks in the minors. He allowed 4 runs in 6 innings, including 2 homers. He walked just 1 and struck out 5. Juan Rodriguez got the win, pitching a scoreless 7th. C.J. Retherford had 3 hits and is batting .333, with Charlie Mirabal and Tony Delmonico collecting 2 hits a piece.

-Speaking of pitching prospects having tough days, Jarret Martin had the toughest of all, giving up 7 runs on 11 hits in 5 innings. He allowed 2 home runs and struck out just 3 batters. Ryan O'Sullivan pitched well in relief, lowering his ERA to 3.60. Jesse Bosnik had 3 hits, with Jesus Arredondo tripling and James Baldwin doubling and walking twice. JB3 also stole his 8th base. He's riding a 7 game hitting streak, in which he's batting .423. Recommended Stories
