-The Topes got a strong start from John Ely, 6.1 innings of shutout ball, on the way to their shutout. Josh Fields doubled and singled, with Jeff Baisley adding a pair of hits as well. Jerry Sands walked twice, raising his OBP to .330 in spite of his .217 batting average. SVS went hitless and is now 3 for his last 19.

-The Loons also got strong pitching performances from Arismendy Ozoria and Jose Dominguez. Ozoria allowed just 1 run on 3 hits in 5 innings, picking up his 3rd win in the process. Dominguez earned his 2nd save by going 4 innings, allowing just 1 hit (the only ball to leave the infield) and striking out 6. Jose's ERA is now 1.83 and he's limiting right-handed batters to a .048 batting average. Joe Winker led the way with 3 hits and 4 other Loons' batters had multi-hit games. The only batters to not reach base were Justin Boudreaux and James Baldwin.
