-Albuquerque traded runs with Nashville for a few innings, taking a 1 run lead in the 6th. However, Derrick Loop allowed 3 baserunners while recording just one out and Ryan Tucker yielded an inherited run that eventually cost the Topes the game. SVS went hitless but did draw a pair of walks, giving him 15 on the year compared to 16 strikeouts. Fedex collected his 9th double, while Elian Herrera tripled and homered.
-Matt Magill was his own worst enemy today. In the third inning, he allowed a double to the leadoff batter and hit a man with one out. He proceeded to field a comebacker and throw the ball away, allowing the runs to score and the runners to reach 2nd and 3rd. A sac fly would bring in another run, which was all Montgomery would need. Shawn Tolleson allows another homer, though Steve Ames escapes 3 baserunners to avoid raising his ERA. The offense provided just 4 hits, with Jake Lemmerman hitting safely in his 8th game over the last 10.
-Angel Sanchez has been struggling, having allowed at least 3 earned runs in his previous 4 starts. This time out, he was under control and allowed minimal damage over 8 innings, the longest outing of his career. He was aided by his offense, which hasn't provided the pitching staff much help this season. Chris Jacobs led the way with a perfect night including his 3rd homer. Mike Pericht homered for the 4th time in as many games. Leon Landry returned to the lineup after missing time with a concussion.
-The Loons fell behind early, with Arismendy Ozoria allowing a pair of runs in both the 1st and 2nd innings. Great Lakes scratched back with 1 in the 3rd and 2 more in the 7th. In the 8th, down by 1, O'Koyea Dickson led off with a double and was replaced with a pinch runner. Scott Schebler tripled him in but was stranded at third. The game would go to extra innings when, in the 10th, Joe Winker led off with his second double. Kevin Taylor attempted to sacrifice him to third, but accidentally was safe when the pitcher threw the ball away. He came into score on a Noel Cuevas. Eric Eadington's perfect 10th would seal the comeback.
