-After Mike Parisi left the game with an injury after just 2 innings, someone in the pen needed to step up and provide innings for the Topes. That guy was Cole St. Clair, who pitched 4 innings and allowed just 1 run. The offense stepped up as well, putting up 3 in the 4th and another 3 in the 6th. SVS reached base twice, while Luis Cruz hit his 3rd homer and Elian Herrera collected 2 more doubles.

-Chris Withrow took a step back with his control, walking half a dozen in 5 innings and throwing just 46 of his 93 pitches for strikes, but he limited the damage and was able to pull out his first win of the season. Johnson, Solano and Tolleson combined for 3 scoreless. Jake Lemmerman stayed red hot, hitting his 3rd homer and is now batting .500 in his last 10 games. Anthony Jackson went 3 for 3.

-Zach Lee held the opposition homerless for the second time this season, lowering his ERA back to a respectable 4.58. Brian Cavazos-Galvez homered for the first time since his demotion. Landry stole his 8th base and is now batting .340 through 13 games. Chris O'Brien had two hits, while Joc Pederson singled and walked twice.

-Jarret Martin had another outstanding start, allowing just 1 run through 7 innings. Matt Shelton retired the side in order in the 8th but couldn't record one in the 9th, allowing a walk-off single to end the game. Noel Cuevas had 2 of the team's 4 hits, including his first triple and home run. O'Koyea Dickson doubled and walked. Recommended Stories
