-Another crazy game in the Dodgers' system, with a similarly dramatic ending. Fernando Nieve allowed a pair of runs in the 1st and 2nd, but the Topes answered back with 2 in the 4th and 6 in the 6th. Josh Wall came in for the non-save but ended up allowing 4 runs, 2 unearned thanks to a Jeff Baisley error. The game went to the 10th, when Kyle Russell singled with 1 out. Then, after a Henson strikeout and with 2 outs, Matt Angle doubled to center for the walk-off.

-Matt Magill's stat line was bizarre, as he was ineffectively wild, though he did manage to strikeout 10 of the 24 batters he faced. Red Patterson, Allen Webster and Steve Ames provided much needed relief. However, with the game tied in the 11th, Geison Aguasviva lost control of the strike zone and walked in the eventual winning run. The Lookouts seemed as though they'd overcome the late deficit, loading the bases with no outs in the bottom of the frame, but failed to score to leave all 3 runners stranded.

-The longball reigned supreme in Rancho tonight, with 6 homers hit at the Epicenter. Gallagher collected his 9th, tied for third in the Cal League. He's 4 shy of last year's mark in 72 less games. Big Jake also hit one out, giving him 4 in 26 games. Landry and Pederson's hitting streaks came to an end, though both reached base safely. Jon Garcia returned to the lineup for the first time since April 20th and had 2 hits. This game would also go to extras, with Scott McGough allowing a 2 run homer in the top of the 10th. In the bottom of the inning, Chris Jacobs led off with a double and Scott Wingo followed with a walk. A sac bunt put the winning run in scoring position, but a pair of groundouts would yield just 1 run and the Quakes would fall short.

-Jose Dominguez finally had a solid start, allowing just 1 run over 6 innings. He did walk 3 and strike out only 2, but did manage to earn his 2nd win of the season. Jan Vazquez, Scott Schebler and recently recalled Delvis Morales each had 2 hits. James Baldwin had a bunt single, walked twice and stole his 11th base. O'Koyea Dickson singled and is batting .370. Yimi Garcia recorded his 6th save.
