-Tough loss for the Topes. Will Savage took the loss, his first of the season, after allowing 7 runs in 4 innings. Cole St. Clair allowed 3 runs in 2 innings of relief, with Ramon Troncoso allowed a pair in an inning's work. Fedex clubbed his 4th homer, with Josh Fields and Joe Becker adding doubles. Hairston played 2nd and 3rd.

-Matt Magill is quietly having a very strong season, going 7 shutout innings with 10 K's on the way to earning his 4th win. His ERA is now 3.19 and he's struck out 60 in 48 innings. In 9 outings, he's allowed more than 1 earned run twice. He's also struck out 20 batters in his last 11.1 innings of work. This was also his first start without allowing a walk.

-Speaking of strong starts, Angel Sanchez had one of his best starts of the young season, lowering his ERA under 5 and earning his 4th win. He's pitched much better at home than on the road, with much stronger peripherals. Leon Landry had two hits, raising his average to .322. Austin Gallagher also singled twice.

-Jose Dominguez has struggled mightily since moving to the rotation. In his 4 starts, he's allowed 16 earned runs and 24 hits in 15.2 innings. He's limiting righties to a .169 batting average but lefties are hitting him at a .314 clip. Unless he's able to develop a changeup to use against lefties, he's destined for the bullpen. In less surprising news, O'Koyea Dickson reached safely twice and is now hitting .387 with a 1.167 OPS. It's only been 18 games, but I don't see the point in leaving him in Low A much longer.
