-Looks like Kemp might be ready to go, hitting his 2nd homer in as many days. He's scheduled to rejoin the club tomorrow. BCG got just 1 at bat in relief of Rivera and made the most of it, clubbing a 3 run home run. Shawn Tolleson pitched a pair of shutout innings and has allowed just 2 runs in his last 7 innings. Josh Wall hasn't been as successful, nearly blowing a 5 run lead. After posting an ERA of 1.74 in April, it's now over 10 in May.
-The Lookouts didn't get much offense today, scoring their only run on an error. Blake Smith scored the run, stealing third and coming home when the third baseman missed the throw from the catcher. He stole another base, giving him 5 on the season. Griff Erickson, batting 9th, had two of the team's 4 hits. Aaron Miller was wild but allowed just 1 run. Geison Aguasviva took the loss, after walking a pair in the 7th. Steve Ames relieved him but surrendered a 2 out single that would plate the eventual winning run.
-Rancho busted out offensively, with a dozen runs and six extra base hits. The team also went 8 for 13 with RISP. Jon Garcia led the way with his 5th double and 2nd homer, coming a triple short of the cycle. He's batting .333 over his last 10 games. Joc Pederson raised his average to .275 and hit his 3rd double, as well as drawing a walk. He's batting .292 in May but just .194 in his last 10 games.
-A few Dodger prospects made their season debuts today, with 2010 second rounder Ralston Cash and 20009 fourth rounder Angelo Songco each playing their first games of 2012. Cash relieved Jarret Martin, who made a scheduled 1 inning appearance. Songco is on a rehab assignment and will likely be with the Loons for a week and a half before presumably joining Chattanooga. O'Koyea Dickson went hitless but did manage to draw a walk. JB3 had an infield single and drew a pair of walks. He's now batting .308 in his last 10 games with 7 walks and 9 steals. He's not hitting the ball hard, but he's getting on base, which is immensely important to his development.
