The Dodgers did the unthinkable, taking a hitter in the first round in Corey Seager.

The Dodgers select North Carolina prep infielder Corey Seager with their first round pick. This marks just the third time since 2002 that the Dodgers have selected a hitter with a first round pick (James Loney in 2002, Blake DeWitt in 2004). Seager, whose brother Kyle plays for the Mariners, should move off shortstop to third base as a pro and projects to be a middle of the order hitter.
