The Grizzlies scored solo runs in the eighth and ninth innings to break a 2-2 tie. Las Vegas recorded 7 hits and scored in the third and fifth innings when Center fielder Nick Theodore delivered a RBI single and shortstop Tony Schrager walked with the bases loaded. Werth appeared in 89 games last season for the National Western Division Champion Dodgers and batted .262 (76-for-290) with 16 home runs and 47 RBI. He also had a Major League rehab stint with the 51s and appeared in 14 games and batted .412 (21-for-51) with 5 home runs and 20 RBI. The 51s begin a four-game Pacific Coast League series against the two-time defending champion Sacramento River Cats at Cashman Field.

VERO BEACH, Florida--The Dodgers split a double-header with Brevard County, winning the first game 4-1 and losing 15-1 in the second. Matt Kemp, Andy LaRoche and Justin Ruggiano all had home runs for Vero Beach in the first game. Julio Pimentel pitched a complete game earn his first win of the year. He struck out eight in seven innings for the victory. Kemp hit a 2-run shot in the second inning to open the scoring. LaRoche led off the fourth with his homer and Ruggiano's came in the fifth. Brevard's only run came on a leadoff home run in the 7th. Pimentel then struck out the next three batters to finish the game and earn the win. In the nightcap, the Manatees erupted for six runs in the first inning off Justin Orenduff. They added three in the second inning and put up three more in the fifth, then three more in the sixth. The Dodgers' lone run came in the sixth when Russell Mitchell hit a sacrifice fly to score Jimmy Rohan. The Dodgers have lost four of six to Brevard County. The Dodgers begin a 4-game road trip in Clearwater tomorrow night at 7:05 PM.

COLUMBUS, Georgia--Columbus scored from third on a throwing error in the 10th inning to give the Augusta GreenJackets a 3-2, 10 inning win over the Catfish. The Fish committed a season-high six errors in the loss, falling to 9-19 on the season. Columbus led 2-1 in the eighth inning but lost for the seventh time this season when leading going into the final two frames. All three of the Augusta runs tonight were unearned. The Catfish opened in the third inning when 3B Blake DeWitt doubled home LF Sam Steidl from second. DeWitt’s RBI was his 17th of the season, tops on the team. In the sixth, Augusta tied the game by scoring an unearned run off LHP Wesley Wright, which snapped his 16.1 scoreless innings streak from the start the season. In the bottom of the sixth, an RBI single by RF James Peterson gave the Catfish a 2-1 lead. In the eighth, Augusta scored on a sacrifice fly to tie the game at eighth. In the tenth inning with a runner at second, an infield hit and an errant throw allowed the run to score. CF Jamie Hoffmann reached base three times and SS Lucas May had two hits. The one-run loss for the Catfish is their sixth one-run game in their last seven contests, as Columbus is 1-5 in one-run affairs this week. The Catfish send 2004 Los Angeles Dodgers 1st Round pick LHP Scott Elbert (0-1, 3.86 ERA) to the mound tomorrow against Augusta.
