McCourt is the highest ranking female executive in baseball today, as vice chairman and president of the Los Angeles Dodgers. In this position, McCourt oversees the strategic planning and development for the franchise.
A member of the Washington Speakers Bureau and a visiting professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, teaching a course titled “The Pursuit of Leadership: A Female Perspective,” McCourt is an active member of the Los Angeles business community and serves on numerous boards and commissions. She was recently honored by the American Friends of Hebrew University with the prestigious SCOPUS Award for her philanthropic efforts.
McCourt is one of 10 women from across the United States who will be profiled in the fall issue of Jewish Woman magazine and honored December 3, 2007 at the annual Women to Watch gala luncheon, awards ceremony and Up Close & Personal honorees’ discussion. Bass, CEO of Jewish Foundation for Group Homes (JFGH), an organization that provides homes, supervised apartments, and other living arrangements for adults with disabilities. JFGH has become a model for more than 25 Jewish communities on five continents. Bass was recently named one of Washingtonian magazine’s “Washingtonian of the Year.”
