Jones, who was very slow out of the box this spring, is gaining strength game by game. His three RBI gives him five for the season and the home run was his second.
Rookie Ramon Troncoso came in to the game in the seventh to put down an Oriole rally that tied the game at four each, then worked a scoreless eighth to earn the win.
Brian Falkenborg allowed a hit in the ninth but closed out the win and earned his first save of the spring.
The Dodgers banged out an even dozen hits, with Jones, Rafael Furcal, John Lindsey (who boosted his average to s smoking .615) and Chin-Lung Hu. They hit into a pair of double plays to stop further scoring.
Los Angeles jumped into a 4-0 lead in the third inning. Jones knocked in the Juan Pierre in the first inning. In the third, Hu singled and scored on Furcal's triple. Delwyn Young singled him across before Matt Kemp laced an RBI double.
Eric Stults was tagged for a pair of runs in the fourth before Eric Hull ended the inning. Hull them gave up Baltimore's third run and Matt Riley saved him further problems.
But then Riley couldn't get out of the seventh and Troncoso gave up an RBI single that was charged to Riley and tied he game.
Jones broke the tie, booming a home run with Young on base. Lindsey singled, Xavier Paul ran for him, and scored on George Lombard's double that scored the third run of the eighth inning.
The Dodgers won four the sixth time this spring, evening their record at 6-6-1.
Tuesday (today) they host the Florida Marlins for the first time this season. RHP Derek Lowe, LHP Hong-Chih Kuo, RHP Jonathan Broxton, and LHP Joe Beimel will be available to pitch.
