The Dodgers are fourth in the National League and second in the National League West Division in Runs Saved Above Average, the pitching companion to Runs Created Above Average for hitters. Brad Penny and Derek Lowe are tied for 10th in the league and are the only Dodger individual ranked.

Runs Saved Above Average is a method of ranking pitchers by comparing their records to the league average.

In the NL West, following Arizona (#1), Los Angeles (#4) are the surprising Giants (#9), Rockies (#13) and San Diego (#14).
