Dwayne Pollok worked five strong innings and Sergio Garcia celebrated his return to the game with a pair of RBI in Las Vegas' 9-3 win over Fresno. Jacksonville got strong pitching from Jesus Castillo and beat Carolina 7-2. Inland Empire was roughed up 11-3 by Bakersfield. Great Lakes lost 3-2 to Fort Wayne. Miguel Ramirez stretched his string to 21.1 innings without an earned run -- but lost.
