Tucson gained a modicum of revenge by dumping Las Vegas 12-1 after losing 23-2 in the series opener. Jacksonville's James McDonald allowed only two hits and Jamie Hoffmann knocked in the winning run as the Suns stopped Birmingham 4-2. Inland Empire allowed four unearned runs lost to Lancaster 8-2. Steven Johnson won his sixth game for Great Lakes who topped Lansing 7-4.
