Las Vegas hit a lucky seven in the seventh and bopped Portland 8-4. Russ Mitchell's two home runs and four RBI boosted Jacksonville 9-5 over Carolina. Inland Empire scattered 10 extra bases while overwhelming Rancho Cucamonga 17-7. Great Lakes slid into fifth place after losing 11-7 to South Bend. The DSL Dodgers dropped a 4-2 decision to the White Sox2.
