Las Vegas was battered by Portland 9-3 and Jacksonville managed only two hits while losing 5-0 to Huntsville. However, Inland Empire, jump-started by two Tommy Giles triples won 4-3; Steven Johnson pitched Great Lakes to a 3-0 win over South Bend and the DSL Dodgers overcame a 5-1 deficit to win 7-5 over the Mets and move into a tie for first.
