The Dodger minor leaguers died with the boots as errors cost Las Vegas, Jacksonville and the DSL Dodgers runs they couldn't afford to spare. Las Vegas fell 7- to Tacoma; Jacksonville lost 2-1 in the ninth to Birmingham despite seven scoreless innings by James McDonald. Bakersfield topped Inland Empire 5-3 and the Yankees tripped the young Dodgers 4-3.
