Andrew Jones had three hits and Nomar Garciaparra two but Las Vegas lost 9-6 to Salt Lake. Jacksonville pulled a triple play but they still lost to Carolina 4-1. A four-run seventh allowed Rancho Cucamonga to stop Inland Empire 6-3. Dayton dropped Great Falls 4-2.
