A full 30-game season ticket plan and a Dodgers-only 15-game season ticket package are now on sale. Single-game tickets will go on sale in mid-January
The Dodgers’ and White Sox’ joint venture at Camelback Ranch – Glendale offers six different seating location options for season tickets: Home Plate Club, Premium Dugout Field Box, Baseline Field Box, Premium Infield Box, Infield Box, and Baseline Reserved. The Dugout Field Box section has already sold out.
The ballpark, which has a capacity of 13,000, features ticket prices beginning as low as $8, with 88 percent of the ticket prices at $30 or less and 44 percent of all tickets available for $20 or less. There are a limited number of Home Plate Club season seats still on sale.
The Dodgers, who in February will open their state-of-the-art complex with the White Sox, will play 17 games in all at Camelback Ranch – Glendale, including two as the visiting team against Chicago.
The Dodgers will play 38 exhibition games in all, including 33 contests in Cactus League play. The Spring Training slate begins on February 25 with a game in Mesa against the defending National League Central Division Champion Chicago Cubs, who the Dodgers swept 3-0 in the NL Division Series last year. The Cubs will pay their only visit to Glendale to play the Dodgers on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17.
The Dodgers and White Sox will play each other four times overall at their new home. Nine of the Dodgers’ 17 contests at Camelback Ranch fall on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
The Dodgers are scheduled to play 12 games against National League West Division opponents, including two against both the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres, as well as four against both the Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants. The schedule also features a March 12 home exhibition game against an Asian Qualifier for the 2009 World Baseball Classic. There is one split-squad day on the schedule, with games on March 16 at Oakland (Phoenix) and at Seattle (Peoria).
There will be two night games, a 6:05 p.m. tilt on March 20 against the Kansas City Royals in Surprise and a 7:05 p.m. contest on March 24 against the Seattle Mariners at Camelback Ranch. The final Cactus League game is slated for April 1 in Scottsdale against the Giants.
The Dodgers will conclude their exhibition slate with an April 2 game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Dodger Stadium, a two-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers from April 3-4 at Dodger Stadium, and a game with the Giants at AT&T Park in San Francisco on April 5.
The Dodgers get the 2009 Championship Season underway on Monday, April 6 at San Diego, and will then host their regular season home opener on April 13 against San Francisco.
The main ballpark that the Dodgers and White Sox will share at Camelback Ranch – Glendale is the largest in the Cactus League with a capacity of 13,000. The ballpark includes 3,000 lawn seats, 12 luxury suites, a party deck, and a unique center field rotunda entrance. Fans will enjoy the ballpark’s modern amenities and design as well as dramatic mountain views from within the park that will create one of the most inviting Spring Training atmospheres in all of baseball.
The 141-acre site is located on Camelback Road just west of the Loop 101. The first-rate baseball facility includes more than 118,000 square feet of Major and Minor League clubhouse space, 13 full baseball fields, and three half-fields. The site will feature picturesque walking trails, landscaped grounds, and an orange grove. There will also be two ponds and a fully-stocked lake between the Dodgers and White Sox facilities.
The Dodgers are moving into Camelback Ranch in Glendale after spending the previous 61 years in Vero Beach, Florida as part of the Grapefruit League.
