Ogden hit season-highs with 11 runs and 20 hits while pummeling Orem 11-2. The Arizona Dodgers scored three times in the ninth inning to break a 3-3 tie but the Cubs scored three of their own in the bottom of the inning and one in the 10th to win 6-5. The Dominican Dodgers received sparkling pitching in a 2-0 in over the Astros.

Raptors Gobble Up Owlz
Ogden, last in the Pioneer League just a few days ago, smacked out 20 hits while pummeling Orem 11-2, giving them 47 hits in the last three games and boosting their team average over 40 points in the process.

The win moves the Raptors o 5-6 on the years but still chasing the league leader Idaho Falls (7-2) and Orem (6-5) in the South Division.

Starter Antonio Castillo (1-2) picked up his first win of the season. Castillo went six innings, allowing two runs, four hits while striking out five. Graham Miller (#33, 2009) and Nick Gaudi (#31) went the final three innings, giving up only an eighth inning single while combining for six strikeouts.

The Raptors used five hits to score four runs in the third inning and take a 4-0 lead. Austin Yount, Jerry Sands, Mario Songco (#5) and Chris Jacobs each drove in a run.

They continued to bang the ball around the park, scoring twice in the fourth, fifth and ninth.

In the fourth, Ogden picked up two more runs when Brian Cavazos-Galvez, who led off for the first time this season, and Austin Yount doubled and Jerry Sands tripled.

Sands continued to batter Pioneer League pitching, going 4-for-6 to raise his league-leading batting average and slugging percentage to .489 (23-for-47) and .780 respectively.

With the pitching staff mowing down the Orem offense, the Raptors went up 8-0 in the fifth when Cavazos-Galvez stroked a two-run double.

The Owlz mustered only a pair of fifth inning runs off Castillo.

Galvez, Yount, Chris Jacobs and Gorman Erickson had three hits to go with four by Sands.

Despite a season-high total in hits and runs, the Raptors were 7-for-19 with runners in scoring position and stranded 14 runners.

The Raptors begin a quick two-game set at Casper this evening before returning Lindquist Field for a seven-game home stand, beginning with Great Falls on Tuesday.

Now You See it, Now You Don't
The Arizona Dodgers scored three times in the top of the ninth inning to break a 3-3 tie but the Cubs scored three of their own in the bottom of the inning and one in the 10th to win 6-5.

The Dodger fielding was a bit faulty in the clutch, allowing two unearned runs in the Cubs game-tying rally and another unearned run in the 10th that decided the game.

Carlos Frias started and gave up only three hits and a single run in his five innings. Rehabbing Hong-Chih Kuo added a shutout inning, striking out a pair.

Thomas Melgarejo allowed the second Cub run in the seventh to tie the game and Gari Tavarez added a 1-2-3 eighth.

Pedro Tavarez singled and scored on Chris Henderson's double in the second for the Dodgers and Clay Calfee tripled and scored the second run in the fourth on Tavarez's RBI single.

Henderson (#22) started what looked like the Dodgers' winning rally in the ninth with a single and Casio Grider (#15) ran for him. Brian Ruggiano was hit by a pitch and pinch-hitter Stetson Banks (#23) bunted them both into scoring position before Ramon Jean walked to load the bases.

With one out, Nick Akins (#20) singled to score two and Calfee's single made it 3-0.

Tavarez was left in to close the game out but Jean's error put the first Cubs runner on base and a double put two in scoring position. A ground ball scored one and with two out, Tavarez wild-pitched in the tying run.

The Dodgers went quietly in the top of the 10th but a walk, a throwing error on a pickoff attempt by John Hernandez (0-1, #29) and a one-out single to right saw the Cubs snatch away the victory.

Henderson finished with three hits, Calfee, Tavarez and Michael Pericht (#16) each had a pair.

DSL Dodgers Win 2-0
On an afternoon when hits were extremely difficult to come by, the Dominican Dodgers received sparkling pitching from a quartette consisting of starter Luis Rosano, Jose Garcia, Luis Mesa and Joel Lima, who limited the Astros to three hits in a 2-0 Dodger win.

Rosano (3-1) surrendered all three hits, while the other three each worked a single, shutout inning and Lima earned his second save.

The Dodgers were held to one hit over the first three innings, then in the fourth Ronny Lugo singled with one out and stole second base.

Enily Morales reached on a throwing error by the Astros shortstop that allowed Lugo to score he first run. Bladimir Franco single across the second, and final run of the day.

The Dodgers were held hitless over the final five innings of the game and the Astros were hitless over the final four
