Russell and Sands Selected 'Player of the Wee

Chattanooga helped Huntsville to six unearned runs and an easy 8-2 win. Inland Empire lost 3-2 to Lake Elsinore with all the runs coming in the first innings. Outfielder Kyle Russell of Inland Empire and Of/1B Jerry Sands (his second award) were selected as "Player of the Week" in the California and Midwest Leagues. Albuquerque was rained out and Great Lakes had the day off.
