Backup catcher Gary Bennett's rehabilitation assignment with Inland Empire, which is officially due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot, might last a little longer than originally expected. The unofficial reason for Bennett's assignment is so he can work on the mental block he has throwing the ball back to the pitcher, a problem that has resulted in his throwing it back on a high, slow arc.
