| A power pitcher who has shot up the system in four years and has gained a starting slot with the Dodgers in 2006. Named the Ben Wade "Pitcher of the Year" in both 2004 and 2005, he is rated the top player in the Dodger system. Ranked the second best overall prospect and best pitching prospect in the Florida State League in 2004, between Vero Beach and Jacksonville he was 11-4 over 26 starts with a 2.55 earned run average, allowing only 100 hits in 134 innngs and struck out 162. He was the Dodgers first choice in the 2003 draft out of Definance High School in Defiance, OH. |
