-Topes starter Mike Parisi had another strong outing, allowing just 1 run in 7 innings to lower his ERA to 2.79 but the offense couldn't get on track. They threatened in the 9th, getting the tying run to third with 2 outs in the 9th, but Luis Cruz struck out swinging to end the game. SVS has reached safely in 9 of his last 10 games, batting .333 over that time. Tim Federowicz had 3 singles, raising his average back over .300 to .301.

-Ethan Martin went 7 innings for the first time in a while, holding Mobile to just 2 runs on 3 hits while lowering his ERA to 3.56. He gave up the Lookouts' 1 run lead in the 7th, then Blake Johnson allowed a bases loaded single with 2 outs that would eventually decide the game. Kyle Russell, in his first action since April 16, singled twice and walked once, raising his season average to .349. Pedro Baez also singled twice and has 4 multi hit efforts in his last 6 games.

-The Quakes were shutout for the 5th time this season, seemingly impossible while playing in the California League. The bottom third of the order accounted for 3 of the team's 5 hits. Scott Wingo singled and walked, while Chris O'Brien collected his 4th double. Chris Reed went 7 strong innings, only running into trouble in the 3rd when he allowed 4 hits to start the inning and surrendered his only 2 runs.

-Loons starter Brandon Martinez had a lot of trouble getting out today. For the second straight game, Jabari Blash hit 2 home runs against Great Lakes. Martinez couldn't get out of the 5th inning, allowing 6 runs, though one was unearned. Arredondo, Baldwin and Winker doubled, with Baldwin extending his hitting streak to 8 games.
