Loons Win Behind Martin's Arm, Winker's Bat

The Great Lakes Loons bats were on display Wednesday night as they powered them to a 7-1 win against the Midwest League leading Lansing Lugnuts.

Five Loons (14-12) had multi-hit games including a three hit game from first baseman Joe Winker who was just a triple shy of the cycle and had four RBIs. "Our guys have great mentality at the plate," Winker said. "If you strikeout it's on to the next at-bat, if you get a hit it's on to the next at-bat."
