Notes

-Tough game for the Topes, who could only come up with 3 hits. Brian Cavazos-Galvez made his Triple A debut but went hitless. Kyle Russell was promoted to take Sands' spot but didn't play. Tyler Henson, who joined the team on the 12th, hit his second home runs and is now batting .385 thru 13 at bats for the Topes. John Ely allowed 3 runs over 6.1 innings and struck out 8. Josh Wall struggled again, giving up a run in his second consecutive appearance.

-Ethan Martin is human afterall. He allowed 3 solo home runs on 8 hits but still managed to go the requisite 5 innings for the win. Allen Webster, pitching an inning out of the pen, allowed a hit but nothing else. Steve Ames struck out two in 2 innings and Red Patterson pitched a scoreless 7th. Blake Smith hit his 5th homer of the year and threw a runner out at the plate. Matt Wallach also homered.

-Garrett Gould's struggles continue. He allowed a pair of homers in 6 innings, raising his ERA to 5.08. Chris O'Brien had 3 hits, including his 7th double. Leon Landry collected his 4th triple and has extended his hitting streak to 9 games. Joc Pederson singled and has hit safely in his last 10.

-Great Lakes has hit the skids, losing 5 straight. Gomez lost a tough one, giving up just 2 runs on 2 hits. The offense combined for 4 stolen bases but also committed 4 errors. Joe Winker's solo homer in the 9th produced the only run. Scott Schebler singled and drew the rare walk. Pedro Guerrero picked up a steal and the team's only other hit.
