Penny, Wade on DL; Stults, Sturtze Called

The Dodgers placed right-handed pitcher Brad Penny and right-hander Cory Wade on the 15-day DL. Both Penny and Wade have inflammation in their right shoulder. To fill their spots on the 25-man roster, the Dodgers recalled left-hander Eric Stults from Las Vegas and also purchased the contract of right-hander Tanyon Sturtze from Las Vegas.

  Penny made two starts after being reinstated on Friday from his previous six-week DL stint, which was caused by right shoulder tendinitis.  He earned the win Friday at San Francisco after tossing 5.0 innings of one-run ball, and then allowed six runs in 3.0 innings last night vs. Philadelphia.  The 30-year-old, who was the Dodgers' Opening Day starter, is 6-9 with a 6.05 ERA in 17 starts...
