Martin Tops Catcher's Stolen Base List

Russell Martin stole his 11th base on October 3 against Colorado, breaking a tie with Johnny Roseboro for the top spot on the Dodger catcher's stolen base list. The steal was the 60th of his career and came in the 5-0 win over the Rockies that gave Los Angeles the N.L. West Championship.

Roseboro had held the crown since moving past Brooklyn's Lew Ritter in 1964. Ritter had set the mark in 1908, his final year with the Dodgers. Martin holds the top two single season records; 21 in 2007 and 18 in 2008, and between he and Roseboro the pair hold down nine of the top 10 slots on the Los Angeles chart.
